Dr. Mayank Agarwal is a gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist practising in Guwahati. He sees adults and children with liver, pancreas, bile duct and gut conditions at Hayat Hospital and Apollo Clinic, Ulubari, and holds outreach clinics in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Dimapur for patients from across the North East.

Background
Dr. Agarwal was born in Margherita, Tinsukia, and grew up in Assam, with his early schooling in Margherita. He studied medicine at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, and trained in Guwahati before moving to Delhi for his specialist degree. He returned to practise in the region where he grew up, and is based in Guwahati with his family.
He speaks English, Hindi and Assamese, and some Bengali, so most patients can be seen in their own language.

After completing his DM, Dr. Agarwal spent six months at GIPMER on further training in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and advanced ERCP. He has also completed an EUS course run under the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. He has worked as a consultant gastroenterologist since January 2020.
